Men’s Gold And Women’s Silver At Bohermeen Half-Marathon

Team gold and silver was the order of the day as Raheny Shamrock took the men’s team prize at the Bohermeen half-marathon.

There was celebrations on the double in county Meath as the women’s team took silver!

Michael Brady was first Raheny athlete home in seventh place posting 71:32. Stephen Butler took 16th place in 72:54, Rob Frewen 20th in 73:06 and David Kirwin 23rd in 73:36.

With Barry Meehan 74:22 and Sean Kelly 76:11, that gave the team 144 points and victory ahead of Crusaders with 278 and third placed Donore with 452 points.

Kate Purcell took second in the women’s race posting 76:50. Kate Crowley took eighth place in 81:53, along with Ruth Colbert 95:15 and Elaine O’Hagan McNulty 98:50 the team had 159 points for second place.

Crusaders took victory with 145 points while Brothers Pearse were third with 225 points.

Also running were; Christopher Quaid 78:49, Ciaran Doherty 78:57, Seamus O’Malley 79:08, Terry Keogh 79:27, Rory O’Sullivan 79:37, Conor Ahern 80:22 and Wesley Grant 81:51.
