Holy Thursday is Quiz Night for Raheny Shamrock AC and the 2024 Quiz was a huge success.
The defending champions returned with plans to retain their title but they had to beat a tough Quizmaster and a competitive crowd; 2024 being a maiden RSAC Quiz night for many.
Quiz compere, Blaithin Sheil, skipped through 10 rounds with 6 questions in each; breaking to hold raffles, throw in bonus questions, hand out spot prizes and enjoy the atmosphere, helped hugely by Stephen Brady as the Music Master.
The winners emerged early and were indeed the defending champions, with the battle then for second and third places and every table working to get on the scoreboard. The final tally played out as follows:
1st Place – “Follow the Run-bow” – Brian Cotter, Adrienne Atkins, Brendan Atkins & Brian McWeeney.
2nd Place – “50 Shades of Trained” – Andy Kelly, Ciaran Doherty, Will Walsh, Dave Woods (Sean Honan & Eoghan Wrafter)
3rd Place – “Baby got Track – Helen Carr, Maura Lynskey, Denise Kelleher & Keith Moynes
