Roche Takes Bronze In 10 Mile Medal Haul

Fiona Roche took national 10 mile bronze and led the women’s team home to gold at the Biofreeze Irish Runner 10 Mile on Sunday Morning.

Roche posted 60 minutes 54 seconds for bronze. The race was won by Grace Lynch of DSD in 56:58 with Heather Murphy of St. Michaels second in 59:36.

Roche with Ciara Brady 63:48 and Maria Dolan 70:16 landed the women’s team gold medal.

It was a good day for the men also as Dave Rooney 53:34, Cillian O’Leary 53:42 and David Kirwin 55:36 took national silver.

There was also gold for the men’s O/35 team of Anthony Sharkey 56:55, Graham Ahearne 57:06               and Aidan Jones 57:48.

While the men’s O/50 team of Terry Keogh 61:12, Brian Kelly 62:27 and Keith Fleming 66:18 took bronze

Meanwhile there was individual medals for Dave Rooney third male O/35, David Kirwin, second male O/45 and Maria Dolan second O/55 ladies.
