Anthony Eames took second place at the Longford Marathon posting two 41 minutes and 17 seconds.
Eames was second behind Springwell RC’s Chris Denton who posted 2:40.06, in a race where Eames and Denton made an early burst from the field. While, Maura Dineen clocked 3:46.37 and Angela Charlton posted 4:12:59.
Also on Sunday, David Kirwin led the Shamrock challenge home at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon posting 73 minutes 11 seconds.
Kirwan was followed home by Jordan McDonnell 74:58, Barry Meehan 77:04, Niall O’Neill 79:10, Conor Wynne Walsh 83:45, Mary Timmins 98:26, Jack Rice 98:26, Nicola Mooney 2:26:41 and Colm Nugent 3:07:00.
While at the Donegal Half Marathon Fiona Stack posted 81:49.
On Thursday, Stephen Butler was first Raheny athlete home at the Portmarnock Beach 5km in 17:16.
