Orla Comerford struck Paralympic bronze on a glorious Parisian evening.
Comerford rose to the occasion taking T13 final bronze in 11.94 seconds in a race won in a world record time of 11.76 seconds by Azerbaijan’s Lamiya Valiyeva.
Brazil’s Rayane Soares de Silva took second in 11.78 seconds also breaking the old World Record.
A brilliant evening for Orla and for Raheny Shamrock. We know only too well that Brian Corcoran is sitting up in heaven having a very good whiskey to celebrate.
Not much more I can add at this time, but to congratulation Orla and tell you how proud of you we are.
Below are interviews from RTE Sport and Off The Ball in Paris.
