Cillian O’Leary was first Raheny athlete home at the 2024 Irish life Dublin Marathon, landing the Pat Quinn trophy.
O’Leary posted 2:26:08 for 25th place overall and unofficially M45 bronze in the national championships.
Kate Purcell took the women’s Quinner Trophy posting 2:43:01 for 15th place overall in the women’s race. This unofficially is F40 national gold.
The full results including national, Leinster and Dublin national and master’s medals are to be confirmed. Once confirmed, we will share.
A very strong performance by over 100 finishers in Raheny Shamrock members on another great Dublin marathon.
There was more very marathon performances on Sunday at the Frankfurt Marathon, Ronan Wogan clocked 2:39:41 and at the Marine Corp Marathon in Washington DC, Stephen Butler posted 2:52:44.
