The final track meet of 2024 threw up some good results as NIA live visited Abbotstown.
Young Rebecca O’Rourke won heat one of the women’s 400m in 64.81 seconds with Ciara Griffin posting 72.57 seconds. In heat two Freyja O’Carroll clocked 63.18 seconds.
In the 800m Sarah Canavan clocked 2:45.35. While in the women’s mile Iseult O’Donnell posted 5:04.97 with Kate Crowley clocking 5:12.18.
Juan Pena took seventh place in the 3,000m posting 8:16.61 with Anthony O’Brien posting clocking 8:39.11. The race was won by Spain’s Ignacio Fontes in 7:49.42.
In the 60 metres Paddy Small posted 7.39 seconds in heat three of series one. Whereas, Small clocked 7.34 seconds in series two heat three.
In the pole vault young Patrick Ryan had a bets jump of 2.20 metres.
