A very busy weekend with action at the Dublin 10k championships and a number of half-marathon’s around the globe.
At The Windmill 10km incorporating the Dublin 10km Championships Ciara Brady took gold in the ladies race in 38 minutes one seconds.
Colm Cassidy posted 37:52 and was followed home by Davey Duane 38:53, John Clarke 39:31, Dave Woods 40:03, Keith Fleming 40:44 and Philip McGovern 40:49.

In the team events there was O/35 team gold for Colm Cassidy, Davey Duane, John Clarke and Dave Woods. While there was O/50 team gold for Keith Fleming, Philip McGovern, Roberto Romano and Brian McWeeney.
There was master’s medals for Patricia O’Cleirigh Women F55 bronze, Davey Duane M45 gold, Keith Fleming M50 gold, Roberto Romano M55 bronze, Dave Woods M60 and Philip McGovern M60 silver.
Elsewhere, Cian Charlton took second place at the Westport Half Marathon in 76:33. James Moran won out in 75:40.
Charlton was followed home by Mairead Roche 93:11, Niamh Corry 1:43:08, Blaithin Sheil 1:43:11 and Clodagh Foley 1:51:28.
At the Berlin half-marathon Niall Diffley posted 87:24 followed by Brian O’Callaghan 1:41:49, Lorraine Byrne 1:44:09, Ann-Marie Gargan 1:46:03, John Freir 1:48:07, Siobhan Foley 1:49:17.

At the Sonia O’Sullivan Cobh 10 Mile, Yann O’Heireamhoin posted 74:36, John McManus 74:43 and Helen Carr 75:07.
At the Vienna Half Marathon Sarah O’Neill clocked 1:47:48. While at the Brighton 10k Denis Murphy posted 43:33. While at the Pargue half-marathon Dave O’Hara posted 1:36.49 and Mary Lynch 1:49.13.
At the national 24hr Track Championships Marathon Option Gerard Fay posted 5:36:48.
