The annual Raheny Shamrock Easter Table Quiz took place last night, Holy Thursday, as is tradition.
The competitive spirit was alive and well in Raheny GAA bar, and with no defending champions from 2024, it was all to play for.
The Quiz Master, as ever, did not make the rounds easy and there was plenty of debate as the MC’s skipped through a broad range of topics – general knowledge, sport, politics, music, history, geography, athletics, and the Quiz Master’s infamous “mixed bag”.
But the Shamrocks are a knowledgeable bunch and there were full points awarded to various Teams in 8 out of the 10 rounds.
There was all to play for heading into the home straight, with five teams in contention for glory in the final round. Just one point separated the top three when the mic went down. Congratulations to all who participated and the winning Teams:
1st Place: Cadence Counters – 41 points out of 60 points
2nd Place: Blazing Glory – 40 points out of 60 points
3rd Place: Pavement Pounders – 39 points out of 60 points
There were plenty of individual winners also with 22 prizes up for grabs. 12 Fantastic raffle prizes were drawn and 10 spot prizes were awarded on completion of challenges, designed by the imaginative MC duo.
