Brian Martin Wins 2024/25 Winter League

Brian Martin claimed the 2024/25 Winter League after a very impressive performance over the winter season.

Martin claimed two race wins, two second places and two third places. Martin won out with 18 points, four clear of Ciaran Chandler.

Paddy Conroy took third place.

Josh Jacob took the division two title and was the most improved athlete over the series. Jacob registered six top 10 finishes which all occurred after round three. Therefore, Jacob was a clear winner of division two.

Michael King took second place with Denis Murphy third.

Division three was a very tight affair with Eammon Dunne and Colm Cahill finishing tied on points after 10 rounds.

Colm Cahill took the division three title on countback, having scored six wins out of six on head-to-head with Dunne. Dunne took second place with Darragh Shields third.

Bob Quinn landed the division four crown scoring a victory some 13-points ahead of Steven Rowe in second place.

To qualify for a final position in the winter league, runners must compete in seven of 10 rounds of races. A total of 22 athletes across the four divisions were (in no particular order);

Division 1: Keith Fleming, Wal McConnell, Brian Martin, Ciaran Chandler and Paddy Conroy.
