Eirc Favors took second place in the shot put at Friday night’s Morton Games.
Favors sixth attempt of 19.75 metres was his best of the competition and saw him take second place behind New Zealand’s Nick Palmer who won out with a best of 20.20m.
While Poland’s Szymon Mazur took third place with a best of 19.32m.
Elsewhere, Niamh Fogarty took seventh place in the discus in 56.21 metres, which was Niamh’s sixth attempt. This event was won by Germany’s Antonia Kinzel with a best of 58.78m.
On the track, Brian Fay took seventh place in the men’s mile in 3:39.07 a race won by Andrew Coscoran in 3:37.06.
While, Michael Farrelly posted 10.50 seconds for eigthth place in heat two of the 100 metres.
There was also some great performances by a number of our juvenile teams in the meet’s pre-card juvenile relays. Very well done to all the Raheny athlete’s competing on a big night of international athletics in Dublin.
