There was national and Leinster championship team success at the Tullamore half-marathon on Saturday.
The famous and prestigious Tullamore half-marathon doubles as both the Leinster and national half-marathon.
The senior ladies team of Tara Kennedy Muireann Browne and Carmel Ward took Leinster championship bronze.
There was national and Leinster O/50 men’s silver for the team of Brian Kelly, Erik Champ and Philip McGovern. While, there was Leinster men’s bronze O/35 for the team of Robert Frewan, Graham Ahearne and Sean Kelly.
Whereas, the men’s team of Graham O’Dwyer, Robert Frewan, Graham Ahearne and Sean Kelly took third place in the open race.
While there was national O/50 silver and Leinster O/50 gold for Tara Kennedy who clocked 89:26. Whereas, Graham Ahearne took Leinster O/45 bronze in 75:47.
Graham O’Dwyer was first home in 74 minutes three seconds and followed by Robert Frewan 75:05, Graham Ahearne 75:47, Sean Kelly 78:36, Eoin Keegan 78:45.

On Sunday, Robert Frewan posted 39:41 at the Oylegate 10km, while at the Oylegate Half-Marathon Nick Alexander clocked 1:46:12.
On Friday Gerard Fay clocked 24:51 at the Tara AC 5km. While, on Wednesday Ken Doyle posted 22:20 at the BHAA BMS Trail 5km followed by Orla Gormley 23:25, Nick Alexander 23:31, Colm Gormley 24:34, Gerard Fay 27:26 and June Comiskey 34:19.
