North Leinster Schools Day One – Results

The opening day of the North Leinster Schools track and field championships took place in Santry Stadium with Raheny Shamrock Athlete’s gathering 11 medals. There were gold medals for, Conall O’Toole of Scoil Chaitríona in the senior boys 400 metres, Kim O’Hare of Sutton Park School in the senior girls triple jump. McGrane Lands Triple Jump Gold

Fionn McGrane landed under 18 gold in the boy’s triple jump at the National juvenile indoor championships. McGrane jumped 12.69 metres. The jump set a new indoor club record improving on Matt Cotter’s previous best by 11 centimetres. Meanwhile Sean L’Estrange took fifth place in the under 17 200 metres posting 23.09 seconds. L’Estrange Fourth at Juvenile Indoor Championship

Sean L’Estrange was just outside the medals at the national juvenile championships in Athlone I.T on Sunday. L’Estrange took fourth place in the under-17 60 metre final posting 7.19 seconds just .02 of a second off bronze medallist Wymin Sivakumar of Leevale.
