Ailish Murtagh won the 57th Holland Cup on Wednesday evening in cool but calm conditions in Raheny.
The Holland cup one of the club’s three “classic” road races is a sealed handicap event, meaning only the official who determines the handicaps, knows which handicaps are assigned.
At the front of the race Mark Kirwan was the fastest in a tussle with Ian Conroy over the approximate 2.8 mile course.
Kirwan crossed the line 13 minutes 28 seconds just five seconds clear of Conroy.
One the handicaps were applied to the results Ailish Murtagh was awarded victory with Lucy Barrett second and Gay Byrne.
The top six was made up with Will Walsh, Michael King and Dermot Gorman.
