Zoe Quinn Takes World Masters Silver

Zoe Quinn collected her third World masters silvers on Friday night this time over 10km. Quinn came home in 38 minutes 30 seconds behind Annemari Kiekara of Finland in 36.05. Bronze went to Katja Jarvela in 39:01. This was Quinn’s third medal of the championship having taken team gold in the 8km cross country and bronze in the 5km.

Juan Ignacio Pena took fourth place in the A race at the North Belfast Harriers afternoon of miles meet on Saturday. Pena clocked 4:05.12 for fourth place with Kieran Kelly fifth in 4:05.13. Favors Gets World Championship Call-Up

There was brilliant news this morning as Eric Favors has received selection to the World Championships in Oregon next week. Favors who has preformed exceptionally this season in the shot put received a place on the world qualifying system having been ranked 37h in the World ranking this year. Raheny Shamrock are proud to support a collection of running shoes for Sanctuary runners. The Sanctuary Runners enable Irish residents to run alongside and in solidarity with asylum seekers and refugees in Direct Provision thereby fostering friendship, positivity and respect while bringing greater awareness to the migration system. A large box is located in the Raheny Shamrock clubhouse. We ask anyone with wearable running shoes to please donate if possible.
