This weekend was the last of our Lockdown League races. Two miles ran on the same course as your last two miler. Windy conditions led to a few slower times on Friday but again overall everyone did superb. A big thank you to all that participated. It really goes to show we have a great club. Can’t wait to get back to real racing hopefully in the not too distant…
Round three of the Raheny Shamrock virtual league saw 100+ runners tackle the mile again. “Stringent” rules required you to perform the mile on the same course as previously run in May. We saw many massive improvements and some impressive times over the one mile distance. Next up is the final round of the virtual league and will be held June 12th-14th. Round Two of the Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club Lockdown League 2020 took place over the weekend. There was much debate as to where to run the 2mile race and whether “Pats Tree” was more accurate than Garmin Satellites. Needless to say Pats Tree won. Lots of “different” route choices across the weekend, some in 34’C army barracks, some in Hilly Howth and Malahide Park! Well done to all of you….
Round One of Raheny Shamrock Lockdown League 2020 took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The race was a lung busting one mile (all ran in accordance with all government guidelines). We had 90 participants from all over Dublin, Leitrim, Donegal and as far away as London and Syria. Well done to all that participated. Round two will be held 15th-17th May and is a two miler.
