Winter League Round 6

Donal Foley was tonight’s winner in the latest round of the Winter League. In the 3 mile race, Donal finished in 16:17, two seconds ahead of Damien Martin with Dave Byrne back in third in 16:46. Helen Carr was first woman in 19:38, with Deirdre Fitzsimons in second in 21:08 and Jenny Colbert third in 21:23. The league continues in two weeks.

National Juveniles/U23’s

Although Raheny 5 was today’s focus, there were some excellent medal winning performances in Athlone at the National Juniors/U23. Colm Bourke won gold in the U23 long jump with 7.10m, setting a new indoor club record. Clohisey and Cullen win Raheny 5 titles

Local favourite Mick Clohisey won the AXA Raheny 5 this afternoon. On a new course and with windy conditions he clocked 24:05. Foyle Valley’s Scott Rankin was second in 24:24 with Ennis Track’s Rory Chesser third in 24:33.
