Raheny Men Victorious At Star Of The Sea 5K

Jamie Whelan came home in fifth place as the Raheny men’s team won the Star of the sea Michelle McKiernan 5k. Whlen clocked 16:13 for fifth place. The race was won by Olympian Andrew Coscoran in 14:53. Luiz Maciel Melo was sixth in 16:33 and with Gareth Hogan in 18th place in 18:05 sealed the victory for the Raheny team. The next Raheny athlete home was Ger Fay in 33:42.

Fogarty seventh at Loughborough international

Niamh Fogarty took discus seventh place at the Loughborough international posting 48.94 metres. While, Eric Favors took shot put 11th place at the USATF throws fest. Double National 5km Silver Lining

There silver on the double for the senior women’s and men’s team at Saturday’s national 5km road championship in the Phoenix Park. Kevin Moriarty was first home in 11th place, clocking 15:28.
