Kate Purcell Takes Bohermeen Half-Marathon

Kate Purcell was an impressive winner at the Bohermeen half-marathon posting 78 minutes and 28 seconds. Purcell led the team to silver medals with Carmel Ward 84:15, Ruth Colbert 95:03 and Caroline Farrelly 1:42:39 giving the Shamrock’s 140 points. Clane won out with 121 points. All-Ireland Schools Cross-Country Success

There was great success for Raheny athletes at the All-Ireland Schools cross country championship on Saturday. The St. Paul’s College Raheny junior boys team took silver. The team included three shamrock’s Conrad Latham, Odhran Fidegon and Donagh Kirwan. The team clocked 138 points and were just seven points behind gold medallist’s CBS Naas. Fay Competes In NCAA

Brian Fay rounded out his NCAA indoor season finishing eighth in the mile and 15th in the 3,000 metres. Fay clocked 4:05.70 in the mile to take eighth place.
