Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club today launched the 2021 Autumn Classic series, seeing four two mile races beginning on Tuesday October 26th. Graham Ahearne posted a very impressive 2:37.47 at the Manchester marathon on Sunday to take 34th place overall. There were good sub three hour performance also from Eoin Connolly 2:52.25 and Chris Quaid 2:59.10. Very well done to three excellent performances.
Gavin Eccles and Daniel Stone made it a Raheny one-two landing Dublin novice cross-country gold and silver as the men’s team captured the novice title. Aisling Ahern also soared in Tymon Park taking bronze in the women’s race and leading the women’s team home to bronze.
