Orla Comerford competed in her second Paralympic Games in Tokyo taking fourth place in her T13 100m heat. Comerford posted 12.87 seconds for fourth place with the race won by Elena Chebnu of Azerbijian in 12.16 seconds. Adiaratou Iglesias Forneiro of Spain was second in 12.20 seconds. Kevin Dooney landed the prestigious Bohermeen 5 Mile road race ahead of Mick Clohisey as the Raheny men’s team won out. 2018 national cross country champion Dooney clocked 23:53, three seconds ahead of 2015 national cross country champion Clohissey.
