Mick Clohisey took third place in the Great Ireland Run and silver in the national 10km which is ran as part of the championship. Clohisey clocked 30 minutes 22 seconds just four seconds behind the race winner Oliver Lockley of England with Kilkenny City Harriers Brian Maher second in 30:20. There were bronze medals galore for Raheny Shamrock athlete’s at the Irish University championships. Orla Comerford of National College of Art & Design took 100 metre bronze posting 12.84 seconds.
