We are just one week away from the Hamill Estate Agents Battle of Clontarf 10 mile. We need another 30+ marshals to ensure this race runs smoothly. The race takes place on Monday 10th April at 10 am in St Anne’s Park, if you are available please contact Anne Mc Comish at 087 2246452.
Mick Clohisey took second place at the Sonia O’Sullivan 10 mile in Cobh posting 51 minutes 10 seconds. Clohisey was just 23 seconds off race winner Jake O’Regan of St. John’s AC. Also racing were Helen Carr 73:53, Angela Charlton 80:41 and Denise Kelleher 83:02. Elsewhere, Robert Frewen posted 2:43.56 in the Milan marathon.
It was a weekend of success yet again for our juveniles in Athlone at the National Indoor Champs bringing the indoor season to a close. 11 athletes competed in club colours over both days, most coming away with personal bests in their chosen events.
