Please drop into the Clubhouse from 12 noon this Saturday (October 1st) and help with the Clubhouse grounds clean-up. People will be there all day so come and go as your availability will allow. All help will make a difference! Please Bring garden tools if possible.
Ger O’Rourke will be in the clubhouse on Wednesday night from 8:30 to 9:15pm with sample Joma club gear for sizing purposes only. Key FOBS purchases needed to access clubhouse at €20 each will also be available. If you’re attending classes or using the clubhouse you must have your own FOB. Gavin Eccles was the first Raheny man home at the Rathfarnham 5K in 14 minutes 47 seconds to take seventh place. Eccles led home 28 Raheny athletes including David Kirwin 15:36, Andrew Hyland 15:37, Cillian O’Leary 15:42, Dara MacRiocaird 16:07, Bernard Roe 16:37, George Sevastopulo 17:01. Mick Clohisey took fourth place in the Charleville half marathon posting 67 minutes 57 seconds. The race was won by Jonathan Escalante-Phillips in 66 minutes and 21 seconds. Sergiu Ciobanu took second place in 66:24 and Josh O’Sullivan-Hourihan was third in 67:04. Also running were; Graham Ahearne 72:49, John McManus 65:34 Paul Curtayne 1:42.19 and Hannah Coleman 1:42.57. At the Berlin marathon Eric Champ clocked 2:45.33.
