Zoe Quinn helped Ireland to cross country gold at the World masters championship in Tampere. Quinn finished fourth in the O/45 category, 10 seconds behind Catherine O’Connor who took bronze. Quinn with O’Connor and Michelle Kenny clocked a combined time of 84 minutes 27 seconds to take O/40 gold ahead of Finland who clocked 94.45. Raheny Shamrock are saddened to learn of the passing of Mrs. Vera McDonald, wife of long time member Joe McDonald. Mrs. McDonald passed away on Thursday June 30th. Our thoughts are with Joe and the entire McDonald family. Mrs. McDonald’s funeral will take place on Saturday July 2nd, details available via RIP.ie

The shamrock’s walk into the lions den of Morton Stadium on Saturday night as international athletics returns to Dublin. Sophie Becker, Mark Smyth and Eric Favors all carry the Raheny flag on the Clonliffe Harriers organised Morton Games which is part of the World Athletics Continental tour.
