The first race of the new Irish mountain running association season in the Leinster League takes place on Saturday January 22nd starting at 11am from Deer Park golf club in Howth. Mick Clohisey got 2022 off to a flying start with a clear victory at the Ferrycarrig 5 mile in county Wexford on Monday. Clohisey posted 24 minutes 39 seconds for victory some 53 seconds clear of David Mahon from Slaney Olympic. Also getting 2022 off to a good start where Chris Quaid posting 30:00 and Vinny Clohisey42:12.
The 2021/22 Winter League resumes on Wednesday night January 5th at 8pm with round three over three miles. Entry for the race is €7 or €50 for the remaining eight races in the league series.
