Freddy Sittuk took third place in the Deep River Rock Belfast Half Marathon on Sunday. Sittuk clocked 70 minutes six seconds with country man Gideon Kipsang racing in the City of Derry colours won out in 64:38 with Clonliffe’s Stephen Scullion second in 66:12. Juvenile training resumes this coming Wednesday September 13th in Manor House at 5.30pm for those athletes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd class and at 6.30pm for those in 4th, 5th and 6th class. 1st year athletes will meet upstairs at 6.30pm where we will advise of training times/ days and venues etc. going forward. Mick Clohisey kicked off the 2017/18 season in style winning the Lakes 10k in Blessington Co. Wicklow. Clohisey posted 30 minutes 50 seconds for a comfortable victory nearly four minutes clear of second place Wes O’Brien.
