Congratulations to Desmond O’Neill who won 400m hurdles gold at the SIAB schools international. O’Neill posted 54.25 seconds for victory over fellow Irish athlete Jack Keating. Keating clocked 54.92 seconds for second place. Bronze went to Max Leon of England in 55.54 seconds. Very well done to Des on his victory.
The 2024 John Fennell Cup saw a first ever daughter/mother one-two as Rachel Costello won out with her mother Caitriona taking second place. Brian Sexton claimed victory in the men’s race with a very competitive top three.
The 2024 John Fennell Cup take places this Tuesday, incorporating round seven of the Lord Mayor of Raheny Two mile series.
