Raheny Shamrock Athlete’s produced great displays of vigour and courage as they competed in the All-Ireland Schools Cross Country in Mallusk on March 11th.
Brian Fay was just outside the medals in the senior boys race, finishing in fifth place. Fay was racing for Belvedre College.
Lucy Barrett finished 21st in the senior girls race, Lucy competes for Pobail Scoil Neasan with Ailish Murtagh of Holy Faith Clontarf finishing 28th.
Adam Condon of Ard Scoil Ris took 36th place in the junior boy’s race with James Hyland of St Fintans Sutton taking 24th place in the junior boy’s race.
A great achievement for any athlete to compete in the 100th All Ireland Schools cross country championship representing their school and their club with great pride.
