Clohisey Leads The Way In Dunboyne Medal Haul

Mick Clohisey dominated the Dunboyne 4 Mile Easter festival road race leading the men’s team to victory with the ladies team taking bronze.

Clohisey had far too much in his locker and came home in 18 minutes 46 seconds some nine seconds clear of Kilkenny City Harriers Brian Maher.

John Dunne was second Raheny man home in 11th place, just one second ahead of Simon Ryan with Micheal McMahon just four seconds and one place behind Ryan.

This gave the men’s team a total of 38 points, absolutely burying the hosts club to second place, Dunboyne having amassed 89 points.

Annette Kealy clocked 23 minutes 52 seconds for sixth place in the ladies race leading the ladies team to third place, the team included Adrienne Atkins 26th, Caitriona Costello 33rd and Nicola Mooney 50th.

That gave the ladies team a total of 115 points for bronze, six points clear of Metro St.Brigids. Donore Harriers won out with 44 points while Dunboyne took silver with 50 points.
