Lorraine Byrne was the first Raheny Shamrock Athlete home in Sunday’s Budapest Spring Half Marathon.
Byrne clocked one hour 35 minutes 54 seconds in a very solid run having passed the 10K marker in 43 minutes 43 seconds.
Other finishers in Budapest where Mark Lacey 1:41.49, Bernie Manley 1:52.18, Brighid Smyth 2:06.38 and Eddie Collins 2:33.48.
Meanwhile in Paris Colm Dunne posted a personal best of 2:55.50 with Mary Purdue Smyth posting 4:26.58 and Liz Kearney clocking 5:08.59. While in Brighton Paul Larkin posted 4:12.23.
In Saturday’s BHAA Dublin City Council Two Mile and Four mile races held in St. Anne’s Park Annette Kealy took second place in the women’s two mile race in 11:17.
Aine Crimin clocked 12:11 followed by Orla Manley 12:14, Orla Gormley 12:32, Caitriona Costello 12:37, Nicola Mooney 13:07, Amanda Langan 14:02, Niamh Donnellan 15:29, June Comiskey 17:26 and Aisling Cretaro 17:49.
