Crampton Home in Boston, Dooney CR in Butlerstown

Tommy Crampton holds the distinction of being the first Raheny man home at the Boston Marathon for 2017, having crossed the line in 3:30.28.

A very impressive performance for Crampton in the grand-daddy of them all marathon. Seamus Rooney was the next Raheny man home in 3:34.32.

On Good Friday Connor Dooney set a course record at the Butlerstown 4 Mile in Waterford crossing the line in 19 minutes 23 seconds.

The previous course record was 20 minutes nine seconds. Trevor Power of Waterford A.C finished second in 20:33.

At the Clonliffe grand prix on Thursday which was a four mile track race Connor Jennings posted 29.16 with Shay Byrne posting 31:37 and Dave Brady posting 35:54.
