Weekend Wrap As Claw does London and Freddy Wins the night

Mick Clohisey finished 22th in the London Marathon on Sunday morning outside his personal best in a time of 2:18.34.

While Clohisey himself will be disappointed with the performance, having gone through half way in 66:41. The race was won by Kenya’s Daniel Wanjiru in 2:05.48.

Freddy Sittuk marked his return to Ireland winning the Virgin Media Night Run in 31 minutes 37 seconds with four seconds to spare on DSD’s Killian Mooney.

Those ran in green white singles and mainly in red tops were Declan Robinson 37:07, Maggie Byrne 54:42, Anne Marie Kennedy 55:40, Fiona Coyle 58:39, Kieran Cox 62:58, Meave Devlin 66:37 and Niall Cox 66:59.

Patrick Phillips won the Ashbourne 10 K in 39 minutes 53 seconds nearly two seconds clear of second place Paul Kearns.

On Saturday Caoimhe McNulty and Emily Keogh both took part in the Dublin juvenile track and field league in Irishtown. Caoimhe and Emily both compete at under 10 level and took part in the long jump, 60 metres and 500 metres.
