Raheny Shamrock’s senior mens team retained the road relay title on a thrilling afternoon in Raheny.
Conor Dooney powered home over the final mile to win secure the gold medal following excellent runs from Kieran Kelly and Kevin Dooney.
The day didn’t seem to be going our way when Mark Kirwan was down the field on the opening lap before recovering tof hand over in fourthe place.
It would later be revealed that Kirwan had suffered a suspected dislocated shoulder from a fall on the opening lap.
There were also gold medals for the Women’s masters over 50, mens masters over 35 and silver for the master mens over 50 teams.
