Mark Smyth claimed the North Leinster sprints double on a Sunny day in Santry Stadium.
Smyth had landed the senior boys 100 meters title last Wednesday continued his fantastic form in claiming the 200 metre title.
Smyth also ran a fantastic second leg in both his relay heat and final with the yellow submarine claiming the coveted gold medal in the senior boys 4×100 metre relay.
The team of Evan Hayes, Mark Smyth, Bill Oshafi and Daniel Achimugu. The Sutton boys went onto claim silver in the 4×400 metre senior boys relay. The team of brothers Martin and Kevin Byrne, Matthew Cotter and Brian Doolin.
The 800 metre girls saw a silver / bronze double for Holy Faith Clontarf with Susi O’Flynn taking silver and Aoibhinn McGoldrick taking bronze.
Ailish Murtagh (Holy Faith Clontarf) landed 3,000 metre silver with – Pobail Scoil Neasain’s Lucy Barrett taking bronze.
There was silver for St.Fintans Glenn Atkins in the 400 metre hurdles while Holy Faith Clontarf’s Amy O’Boyle took fifth place in the junior girls.
Susi O’Flynn, Aoibhinn McGoldrick, Ailish Murtagh and Sarah Fagan combined in the Holy Faith Clontarf gold medal winning 4×300 metre senior girl’s team.
Emma Harrison ran the third leg in the same race for Manor House who finished just outside the medals in fourth place.
Others who ran well included Jamie Sheridan (St. David’s CBS) in the senior boy’s 400 metres, Emma Harrison (Manore House) 200m and Katie Flanagan Walsh (Mercy College) 200 metres.
