Cillian O’Leary won the 40th anniversary RTE 5 Mile road race on Saturday afternoon. (Updated Tuesday May 9)
Probably the most prestigious race in the BHAA calendar, it was making its final appearance in the Donnybrook canvas as RTE will begin developments there next year.
O’Leary won out in 26 minutes and three seconds some 34 seconds clear of Eoin Callaghan.
Other finishers were Seamus Rooney 33 minutes dead, John Fennell 34:11, Vinny Clohisey 35:33 Mary Purdue-Smyth 38:33, Angela Charlton 43:05 and June Comiskey 45:29.
