There were personal bests a plenty as the Irish Miler Club’s season kicked off in Greystones on Saturday.
Conor Dooney set a new personal best when finished fourth in the 5,000 metres clocking 14 minutes five point 26 seconds.
Kevin Dooney took third place in 14:04.51, definitely good times ahead on the track this season for both Dooneys. The race was won by Donore’s John Travers in a personal best of 13:52.67.
The 800 metre B and C races saw Raheny victories and personal bests. Daniel Scully wining the B race in 3:59.86 and Eoin O’Dwyer taking the C race in 4:09.17. Donal Foley clocked 4:17.34 in the C race.
There victories for Orla Comerford in the 100 metres posting 12.78seconds and Sean O’Driscoll in the 100 B race posting 11:09.
Aisling Drumgoole took an impressive third place in the 200 metre A race posting 25:62.
While Eoin Strutt got his track season moving posting 1:54.51 in the 800 metre A race, the race was won by Le Cheile’s Conall Hayes in 1:51.39.

Brian Fay continues his very impressive climb through the ranks wining the B 800 metre race in one minute 54 point 56 seconds.
