O’Driscoll Wins AAI Games 100 metres

Sean O’Driscoll stole the show at the AAI games in Morton Stadium winning the 100 metres title.

O’Discoll posted 10.95 seconds for victory well clear of Kaodichinma Ogbene seconds in 11.13.Dowling had won heat one of the 100 metres in 10.98 seconds with Colm Bourke sixth in 11.34 seconds.

Sean Dowling posted 51.92 seconds in the 400 metres and 23.07 seconds in the 200 metres. Liam Sheehan posted 24.14 seconds over 200 metres.

Dylan Kirwan was also active in multiple events, posting 60.62 seconds in the 400 metres hurdles before postng 53.41 seconds in the 400 metres flat..

Orla Comerford posted 12.71 seconds in the 100 metres final, having posted 12:55 in the earlier heat, a time which moves Orla higher in contention for this years Paralympic World Championship selection.

While Daniel Beveridge posted a discus personal best of 39.22 metres.

In an emotional Manchester, Mick Clohisey finished 11th in the Great Manchester Run posting 29 minutes 44 seconds.

While at the Lap of the Gap Half Marathon Robert Frewen took second place 82 minutes 12 seconds, while Paul Frewen took 15th place in 96 minutes seven seconds.

On Saturday evening Kieran Kelly posted a seasons best of 1:48.77 in the 800 metre A race at Sportcity grand prix part of the British Milers Club.
