Theo Duffy started off proceedings on Friday evening claiming 🥇 in the Inter steeplechase in a blistering last 100m.
Charlie Gunawardahana won 🥉 in the senior steeplechase.
Philip Carberry threw 32.62 to claim 5th place in the Junior Boys Javelin whilst Liam McAtamney raced to 5th place in the Junior Walk
Des O’Neill led the way on Saturday with a 🥇 in the Senior 400mH. He raced to a championship record of 51.89 and a World u20 qualifying standard.
Rachel Afari raced a pb of 12.16* to 4th place in the 100m and followed it up with 🥉 in the 200m an hour later.
Freyja O” Carroll claimed the silver medal in the senior 800m in a time of 2.13
Next up was Conrad Latham who blitzed the last 100 of the senior 800 to claim 🥇 in 1.52.
St. Fintans 4×100 relay team made up of ☘️ Ollie, Des, Eric and Andy raced to another championship record of 42.66 helping St.Fintans to Best Overall School of the championships. A fitting semd off to Coach Paddy Noonan who hung up his whistle as athletics coach in St. Fintans over 20 years of service 👏
