Clohisey wins National 10K

Mick Clohisey was winner of the National 10k which was run as part of the Great Ireland Run. Mick finished in a time of 30min to add yet another National title to his collection. Simon Ryan was next man home in 32:54 followed by Brian Leahy in 33:44. Other finishers were Wes O’Brien 34:14, Damien Martin 35:07, Damien Kehoe 35:22, Brian Kelly 36:07, Dave Grange 37:08, Dave Woods 38:30, John Clohisey 39:17, Vincent Clohisey 40:00, Orla Manley 43:26, Ross Lundy 44:58, Robbie Beggs 46:11, Witek Lochowski 46:16, Connor Jennings 48:51, Mary Coghlan 49:47, Sinead Lyons 53:13, Nicola Mooney 57:29. Earlier in the day Kieran Kelly was 4th in the elite mile in a time of 4:16. Elaine Pender ran 29:24 in the 5k race.

There were a number of club athletes were competing in the colours of St Fintans at the CBS competition. Sean Dowling was first in the 100m while Dylan Kirwan was second in the 800m. The 4x100m team of Lorcan Quinn, Callum Cawley, Fiachra O’Flynn and Sean Dowling were 1st while the medley team of Dave McMorrow, Paddy O’Donnell, Dylan Kirwan and Sean Dowling were also first. Mieke Kiernan opened her throwing season with a 44.84m for 5th while Daniel Beveridge was third in the discus.

Feidhlim Kelly was first in Malahide parkrun in 16:24 while Annette Kealy was first female in 18:55. Other finishers were Aine Crimin 19:42, Brian Quigley 21:00, Steven Rowe 23:21, Larry Fox 32:58. Alan O’Flynn was second in St Annes in 18:28 while Helen Carr was first female in 20:23. Other finishers were Keith Comiskey 19:44, Sean McGoldrick 20:51, David O’Hara 21:17, Aileen Hooper 21:37, Connor Jennings 23:29, Gerard O’Rourke 25:22, Sue O’Toole 26:23, Keith Moynes 26:55, Valerie Hand 29:22. Karl Meehan was second in Father Collins in 18:24 while Witek Lochowski ran 21:48. David Sheehy was second in Donabate in 18:47.
