Traynor stars at European Masters

Mick Traynor was second in the O50 10km at the European Masters in 34:11. Mick also helped Ireland win the team gold in the 10km race while he helped the O45 team to a bronze in the cross country relay. Damien Martin was a member of the O50 gold winning cross country relay team and helped the O50 team to a silver in the half marathon event. Nora Byrne ran 47:03 in the women’s 10km race.

At Highgate night of 10000m, Mick Clohisey ran 29:24. Mark Kirwan was second at the Bob Heffernan 5k in 15:00. John Clohisey ran 40:27 at the Calcutta run. Lucy Barrett was first female in the Calcutta 5k in 21:27. Wes O’Brien won the Malahide parkrun in 16:23. Other finishers were Steven Rowe 23:10, Larry Fox 35:26. Declan Robinson was the clubs first finisher in St Annes in 18:23. Other finishers were Steve Reeves 18:33, Alan O’Flynn 18:37, Eamon Traynor 18:49, Kevin Prendergast 19:35, Brian Christensen 19:39, Aileen Connolly 21:15, Christy Reilly 22:03, Mary Lynch 23:22, Connor Jennings 24:02, Gillian Kenny 24:18, Ger O’Rourke 24:44, Sinead Lyons 26:16, Des Lyons 26:22, June Comiskey 27:01, Valerie Hand 28:46. Dave Grange was winner in Poppintree in 17:46. Dave Gargan was second in Donabate in 18:51 while Anne Marie Gargan ran 23:37. Witek Lochowski was winner in Father Collins in 19:36 while Aileen Hooper was first woman in 21:51. Other finishers were John Fennell 19:58, Rachel Markey 24:26.

Also a special congratulations to Pat Hooper who was awarded a Good Citizen award for sports and recreation by the Lord Mayor during the week.
