National T&F Championships

There were some great performances over the weekend at the T&F championships with medals and club records set. Mick Clohisey won bronze in the 10000m in 29:50.42. The women’s 4×400 team also won bronze with a time of 4:08.79. Sue Scallan set a new club record in the 400m heats running 55.21. She ran 55.37 for 7th place in the final. Aisling Drumgoole ran 56.52 in the heats but narrowly missed out on a place in the final. Daire Bermingham and Mike McCabe both made the 1500m final running 4:05.11 and 4:06.31 but both missed out on a spot in the podium. Daire ran 3:56.19 in his heat while Mike ran 3:57:72 in his. Eoin Strutt ran 4:04.30 but missed out on a final spot. Blaithin Sheil ran 5:00.33 in the women’s 1500m heats. Kieran Kelly was 4th in the 800m in 1:52.19 while Cillian Kirwan was 7th with 1:54.26.
