Eric Favors won the shot put competition at the Gamecock invitational in South Carolina.
Favors won out with a best throw of 19.07m with Christopher Licata second with a best throw of 18.67m. Favors best throw came in the third round, having thrown 18.29m in round one and 18.32m in round two.
Meanwhile Mark Smyth clocked 10.61 seconds to win his race at the Control Extra Carreras meet in Malaga, Spain.
The time was just one hundredth of a second off Mark’s club record of 10.60 seconds.
