Sophie Becker has been called up to the Ireland mixed 4x400m relay team for the World Relay championships next month.
A top eight finish at the World Athletics Relays Silesia 21 for either the mixed 4x400m team or the women’s 4×100 team guarantees Olympic qualification.
The Ireland mixed 4x400m team is;
Sophie Becker – Raheny Shamrock, Phil Healy – Bandon, Sharlene Mawdsley – Newport, Chris O’Donnell – North Sligo, Thomas Barr – Ferrybank and Andrew Mellon – Crusaders.
Non-Travelling Reserves
Catherine McManus – DCH and Thomas Pitkin – Clonliffe Harriers.
The World Athletics Relays Silesia 21 are to be held in Poland on May first and second.
