Eric Favors took shot put second place at the University of South Carolina open with a best throw of 18.69 metres on Saturday.
Favors best attempt was his fifth attempt having recorded a first attempt of 18.56m following it up with 18.45m, 18.35m, 18.58m and finally 18.69m.
Josh Awotunde won out with a best attempt of 20.80 metres.
On the track Mark Smyth won his 200 metre race at the I Control Aire Libre meet in Malaga clocking 21.42 ahead of second placed Marcus Lawler who posted 21.70 seconds.
