Smyth Sets New Club 100 Metres Record

Mark Smyth set a new club 100 metre record of 10.58 seconds when he won out at the Athletics Ireland micro meet at CIT today.

Smyth improved his club record by point 02 seconds.

In race two Smyth finished second in 10.60 seconds, just point 01 second behind Stephen Gaffney.

Elsewhere Michael Farrelly took third place in the 200m in 21.77 seconds, the race was won by Robert McDonnell Galway City Harriers in 20.81 seconds. The wind was timed at an illegal +2.4m/s.

Kim O’Hare took fourth in the Long Jump with a best of 4:82m in an event won by Ruby Millet of St. Abbans in 5:91 metres.
