Raheny Shamrock athlete’s collected one gold, three silver and one bronze at day one of the national junior and U23 track and field championships.
Oisin McCorry took silver in the U23 400m hurdles posting 56.28 with gold going to Jack Mitchel of St Laurence O’Toole in 52.32.
In the women’s U23 800m Susie O’Flynn took bronze clocking 2:16.56, just off gold medallist Sarah Clarke who clocked 2:13.78 with silver going to Kilkenny City Harriers Ciara Deely in 2:14.29.
Sean Maher took silver in the junior men’s hammer Sean Maher took silver with a best throw of 55.13 metres. Na Fianna’s Robert Higgins took gold with a best of 57.63m.
Matthew Cotter won triple jump U23 gold with a best of 12.65 metres. Kim O’Hare took silver in the women’s event with a best of 11.16 metres as Waterford’s Emily O’Mahony took gold in 11.22 metres.
Elsewhere, in the men’s junior 800 metres Thomas Richards clocked 2:05.91 with Shane Spring posting 2:08.75 and Christopher Hamill posting 2:16.32.
In the junior men’s 200m Michael Farrelly posted 22.57 seconds to make the final, but Farrelly didn’t contest the race.
While, in the men’s U23 200 Conall O’Toole posted 23.11 seconds to finish seventh. O’Toole made the final having posted 22.93 seconds in his heat.
Meanwhile, Daniel Stone just missed out bronze in the men’s U23 5,000m posting 15:03.17 with Clonmel’s Evan Fitzgerald taking silver in 14:55.48 just behind Thomas Devaney of Castlebar. Conor Maguire of Monaghan Phoenix in 14:50.91.
Shane Ryan took eighth place in 15:14.90. In the men’s junior final Dara Mac Riocaird clocked 16:46.59 for 16th place.
