Adrienne Atkins, Patricia O’Cleirigh and Feidhilm Kelly took gold medals at the national masters track and field championships held in Santry today.
Atkins collected gold in the W55 1500m’s posting 5:52.88 and followed that up with silver in the 800 metres posting 2:45.98.
That time was just point 01 outside off gold medallist Patricia O’Cleirigh who clocked 2:45.97.
Kelly was a convincing winner in the 400 metres M35 grade, posting 53.32 seconds nearly two seconds clear of second placed Rory Sheehan of Monaghan Phoenix.
While Melanie Hearns took silver in the W35 100m hurdles clocking 23.09 seconds.
There were fourth place finishes for Denis Murphy in the M60 1500m clocking 5:32.01 and posted 2:41.75 in the 800 metres. Ciaran O’Coigligh took fourth place in the M65 5,000m in 21:11.34.
Others who competed in the 1500 metres were Andy Kelly M40 posting 4:48.52. Paul Curtayne M50 5:37.45.
In the M40 5,000m Rory O’Sullivan posting 17:16.34 and in the 800 metres M45 Niall Power clocked 2:19.78 and Paul Curtayne M50 posting 2:41.67.
