To all members,
It’s that time of the year again when the Raheny 5, Ireland’s most prestigious road race, opens for registration.
The race will be held on the last Sunday of January, the 31st, as always. This year the dates fall such that it overlaps with other AI sanctioned races which are allocated the February bank holiday weekend.
As always, we ask members to set aside race Sunday to help out on what is a massive undertaking for the club. Traditionally members do not run in the race. This year we are emphasising how important that is given that there will be alternative events on the same day and again we ask members to forego racing at any of those events wherever possible.
The Raheny 5 is the basis of the ongoing sustainable funding of the club and we appreciate your support in helping us deliver the high quality and safe event that the race is known for.
Thanks,
Club Committee
