Club Executive Meeting Report
The Club executive met in the clubhouse on Monday, October 12th.
The following were the key items and actions from the meeting:
It was agreed that the club should take out Directors and Officers insurance as recommended for CLGs.
A revised proposal for the next phase of clubhouse development has been prepared by Paul Tyndall, our architect, and is being costed by John Nolan, our Quantity Surveyor.
The new Sports Capital Grant programme has opened and the club intends to apply for a grant as part of its fundraising plan.
The track project is still waiting for sign off from the Archdiocese for the Scoil Assaim to proceed with development.
36 applications for financial support were received by the High Performance committee.
Clodagh Foley is Ladies Captain for Road and Cross Country, with Louise Keogh taking over as Ladies Track and Field Captain. Richie O’Connor and Clare Reilly will take over Juvenile Coaching.
The club has absorbed the 3 euro transaction fees associated with moving to the Clubzap platform in the first year. The committee agreed that this should be added to the annual subscription from now on.
There was a discussion on the value of the Marathon night function which has been held in the area for many years. Recent years have seen a change in attendance levels as more and more marathoners choose to stay in town directly after the race. It was agreed that the event would not be held this year and that the club would get input from members on what might replace it in future.
